Detailed selection process after clearing SSC CGL exam

The selection process of SSC CGL exam is primarily done in four stages. The four stages are Tier-I and Tier-II (Computer Based exam), Tier-III (Descriptive Test which consists of data entry test and Computer Proficiency Test) and Tier-IV. The final selection of candidates depends on their overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III exams. Finally speaking, the Tier-IV is qualifying in nature. The appearing candidates have to qualify each stage of this selection process separately to draw their names in the merit list.
